Wow, watching “San Francisco” with Jeanette McDonald, just realized the gown she wears as Violetta in “La Traviata” looks VERY much like Glinda’s/Billie Burke’s in “The Wizard of Oz.” Indeed the @recycledmoviecostumes Website has this (apologies, but for some reason I was unable to share the specific URL): “This is yet another costume that is arguably one of the most famous in all of cinema history.
